2018 ADI Conference

Assistance ​Dogs ​International ​(ADI) ​conducts ​an ​international ​conference ​every ​two ​years ​to ​educate ​our ​members; ​facilitate ​networking ​opportunities; ​and ​share ​best ​practices. ​This ​year ​Can ​Do ​Canines ​is ​hosting ​the ​conference ​in ​Minneapolis, ​Minnesota. ​A ​special ​Thank ​you ​to ​our ​Presenting ​Title ​Sponsors ​- ​Can ​Do ​Canines ​and ​Dogs ​for ​Life, ​Inc. ​ ​

Please ​join ​us ​for ​this ​conference ​offering ​keynote ​speakers, ​administrative ​track, ​breeding ​track ​and ​training ​tracks. You ​may ​attend ​multiple ​tracks. There ​will ​be ​tours ​of ​Can ​Do ​Canines ​offered ​prior ​to ​the ​conference ​on ​Sunday ​afternoon, ​August ​19th. Pre-registration ​is ​required.​Bus ​transportation ​will ​be ​provided ​from ​the ​hotel. ​ ​

Sunday ​evening ​ADI ​will ​host ​a ​welcome ​reception ​and ​registration ​check-in.

The ​ADI ​Banquet ​event ​will ​be ​on ​Tuesday ​evening. Your ​meal ​choice ​is ​included ​in ​the ​registration. Spouses ​or ​guests ​are ​welcome ​to ​attend ​for ​$50/per ​guest.

Registration ​is ​$450/per ​person. Early-bird ​registration ​$400/per ​person ​is ​available ​until ​June ​15th. If ​4 ​people ​register ​together ​as ​a ​group ​from ​the ​same ​organization, ​a ​20% ​group ​discount ​will ​be ​applied ​to ​any ​additional ​registrations ​in ​the ​group. The ​registrations ​must ​be ​done ​together ​as ​a ​group. ​Registrations ​after ​July ​31st ​will ​be ​$500/per ​person ​until ​the ​conference ​is ​sold ​out. ​Non-ADI ​Member ​Guests ​of ​ADI ​Accredited ​Members ​are ​welcome ​with ​registration ​from ​the ​ADI ​member ​organization. ​The ​discounted ​hotel ​room ​rate ​is ​$149/night ​for ​Assistance ​Dogs ​International ​group. The great news is our membership has overwhelmingly supported this conference. The Hyatt Regency hotel has SOLD OUT of our contracted reduced hotel room rate block. Al Peters from Can Do Canines has been able to negotiate 10 additional rooms at the Hyatt Regency at a higher rate of $199/night until JULY 12th! Click here to book one of the additional rooms. Do not delay in making your reservations ASAP if you want to be at the conference hotel! Click on “Additional Rooms” to access the available rooms at the reduced rate of $199. These rooms are only available from Sunday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 22nd. There are NO rooms available for Saturday, 8/18 at the Hyatt Regency.

Al was also able to secure 25 additional rooms at the Hyatt Place hotel that is 2 long blocks from the Hyatt Regency beginning on Friday, August 17 through Thursday, August 23, 2018. Shuttle service is available from the Hyatt Place to the Hyatt Regency. These standard rooms are at the $149/rate, and the deadline to make reservations is JULY 20th! Call for service dog training task demonstrations

Does your organization have a “unique” service dog training task(s) or training method that you are using with your dogs-in-training? ADI is looking for members that can bring a short PowerPoint video clip or bring a demo dog to demonstrate the task(s) during the Training Exchange/Tips session at the conference. Please submit your task(s) demonstration idea using this form to info@assistancedogsinternational.org no later than friday, June 29, 2018.
